From a childhood spent in the bush surrounded by tools and timber, to over a decade working as a qualified carpenter, Luke's passion for timber and making was established from an early age and honed through years of rigorous training
Luke's desire to explore the possibilities of timber crafting beyond the building industry compelled him to start playing with shapes from discarded bits of industrial steel and reclaimed timber in his front yard, becoming the starting point for Luke David Design.
With an intuitive design process that values experimentation, Luke has developed a strong and distinctive aesthetic that he can truly call his own and which reflects his playful attitude. Characterised by strong, flowing lines, Luke's work combines function with the unexpected to create unique and unconventional pieces of sculptural furniture.
