Description
Handcrafted in the Margaret River Region of Western Australia from classic hardwoods- Walnut, Jarrah, Oak and Blackwood.
The Froxfield is a modern refectory table, inspired by the work of the early arts and crafts pioneers of Froxfield, England, in the early 1900’s.
Careful timber selection, formed and shaped curves and interlocking timber joinery give these tables a solid foundation and great structural integrity. Each piece is constructed and finished by an individual craftsmen ensuring it is immaculately detailed and will last many lifetimes.
The tables are available in a natural hard-wax oil finish and a striking ebonised finish. Ebonising was used by traditional furniture makers to blacken timber and make it look like ebony which was rare and very expensive. By reacting an iron acetate solution with naturally occurring tannins in the timber, you can achieve a tone that rages from dark brown to deep black with the natural undertones still present.
